Eligibility:

The Candidate should be a member of the Indian Institute of Bankers and should satisfy the following conditions :

a)S/he should have passed the CAIIB examinations of Indian Institute of Bankers, Mumbai and awarded the requisite qualification/ credentials thereof by the institute.
b) S/he should have been working in the banking or financial service sector for a period of atleast two years.
c) S/he should be a graduate from a recognised university.

This Programme was launched by the School of Management Studies, IGNOU, following an MoU between IGNOU and the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) in order to provide an avenue for post graduate academic qualification in Banking and Financial Services, for the members of the IIBF. This Programme has been designed to meet the customised needs of banking professionals with CAIIB certification. The Programme has been considered desirable to upgrade the managerial skills and capabilities of the in-service banking professionals.

 

 

Courses:

This programme consists of 21 courses in all. These 21 courses include 11 basic courses, 5 specialisation courses and 5 integrative courses, including a project course equivalent to two courses.

HOW TO APPLY

For seeking admission to MBA (Banking & Finance) Programme, a candidate is required to apply to the Regional Director concerned, in the prescribed application form with requisite fee and other documents, like the qualifying certificate of CAIIB. Admission will be offered to all the eligible candidates subject to a maximum limit mutually agreed upon between IGNOU and IIBF.

Admission to this programme is without any Entrance Test. This programme consists of 21 courses in all. These 21 courses include 11 Basic Courses, 5 Specialisation Courses and 5 Integrative Courses, which include a Project Course equivalent to two courses.
