Eligibility:

Candidates with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST and OBC (non-creamy layer, differently-abled and other category of candidates as per the decision of the UGC from time to time) in Master of Arts (Education) or Master of Education (M.Ed)) or M.Ed (Special Education) are eligible to apply.

Admission to Ph.D in Education is done through entrance test and interview. Candidates are required to appear in the entrance test conducted by IGNOU. The notification for Ph.D entrance test will be issued by the Research Unit of IGNOU. The details of eligibility criteria for admission will be given in the notification. UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedures for award of M.Phil/Ph.D Degrees) Regulations, 2016 will be followed for admission in Ph.D. programme.
